The Precision P185 is a solid and capable daysailer that is a joy to rig and sail from serene to severe conditions with its roller furling jib and mainsail reef points. It’s all fiberglass construction is easily maintained, (no bottom paint). It has always been drysailed with a fresh water rinse of the hull, motor and trailer after each outing.

The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement. It may be unable to reach this speed if the boat is underpowered or heavily loaded, though it may exceed this speed given enough power. Read more.
