Seller's Description

Beautiful, fully restored in 2014, 1974 Columbia 34-mkii: completely refurbished. Almost everything renewed, including rigging, sail hardware & sails. Less than 500 hours use. Built her to take an extended Caribbean trip, took a job.

Over $130K spent on refurbishment, new everything except hull, mast and engine. Full Survey in 2014, market value $85,000 (currently insured for this), replacement value $185,000. Every luxury included.

Hull core damage repaired, decks lifted and core replaced. All through-hulls / fittings sealed and refitted with epoxy before re-boring. Hull, mast, boom and decks sealed and professionally painted. Custom stainless mast-step, instrument swing arms, oversized rudder bearings, stainless handrails and teak toe-rail manufactured and professionally installed.

Custom aluminum designed manufactured and professionally mounted in cockpit, includes a dodger, rear pulpit, davits, cockpit sun cover, solar, wind gen and antenna mounts, lockable grill and outboard mounts, boarding ladder and a complete folding swim platform (Miller Marine Fabrication), designed to not impede access to cockpit. Complete canvas Sunbrella/Strataglass cockpit enclosure.

Engine stripped and rebuilt. All wiring replaced with marine grade tinned copper oversized wire. All plumbing replaced. Reverse-cycle Heat/AC, watermaker and custom propane system installed.

7 feet of head room. Teak and holly sole installed. 6 births, main cabin seats 7 easily. Custom 1.5 solid live-edged teak main dinette table. Fully equipped nav station, with custom stainless swing-arm to move instruments between nav station and cockpit. All cushions custom made with two tone Sunbrella.

Designed to single hand in blue water. Solid vang, redundant winches, lines accessible from cockpit, below-deck oversized autopilot. Bluewater deck tethers. Deck plates, stanchions and mountings upgraded.

Great bargain as a live-aboard or for a blue water trip. Perfect to socially-isolate in comfort. Last documented in 2017.
