Seller's Description

Well equipped Oday 28, perfect for RI, New England or Long Island coastal cruising. Single handed sailing capable. I sailed her solo up the East Coast from North Carolina last summer. I did a lot of work this winter maintaining and getting her ready for the sailing season so you dont have to. Hauled out in mid-March and had bottom cleaned, painted, and replaced the propeller and zincs.

I have access to a mooring for use till mid-June if needed.

This is a small, affordable, easy to handle sailboat with big boat amenities! It is perfect for someone interested in getting into sailing and the cruising lifestyle. We have had great adventures all over eastern NC, up the East Coast, and throughout RI aboard Luck Dragon. She is named Luck Dragon from the NeverEnding Story (Falkor is a Luck Dragon).

Equipment: -Universal Diesel 5411 (marineized Kubota) rebuilt in 2018. Pulled out and conducted maintenance checks this winter to include installing a new damper plate on the flywheel, paint, fresh engine and transmission oil change. New glow plugs and relay added in 2020. -New LH 12x11 propeller matched to engine specs coated with anti-foul and two new zincs -Shaft and coupling, dripless bearing, cutlass bearing replaced in 2019, rechecked this winter -Mainsail has had a few repairs over the years, but is currently fine. It got me to RI from NC last summer without issue. -It has both a 115% and 150% Genoa, symmetrical spinnaker, and whisker poll for running dead downwind -Roller furling -Matching maroon dodger, binnacle/wheel cover, mast boot, and sail cover -New Bimini with removable side shades -2023 South Atlantic Servo-pendulum self steering wind vane for off shore self steering -Autohelm ST4000 auto pilot -Furuno Radar -Garmin EchoMap Plus 74cv chart plotter with depth sounder (with custom made pedestal guard mount) -Raymarine i50/i60 Wind/Speed/Depth System Pack -ProMariner ProNautic 1220P Battery Charger (shore power battery charger capable of live aboard use) -190W Solar Panel on a transom arch connected to a MPPT Solar Controller for off grid battery charging -Battery banks rewired for House and Start banks, connected by Blue Seas Automatic Charging Relay, additional battery added to house bank for a total of 2 deep cycle marine batteries on house bank and 1 marine battery on start bank. -Standard Horizon GX2000B VHF Radio-LED anchor light (super bright, easy to find boat in anchorage at night) -Isotherm water-cooled refrigeration! (best upgrade ever, not having to keep restocking ice). -Flojet freshwater pump connected to two 15 gallon freshwater tanks. -Marine head with holding tank, galley sink, head sink, & shower head that will extend out on deck. -22lbs Galvanized Delta Anchor with 60 of 5/16 chain and 140 of 1/2 braided anchor line. The boat doesnt move when anchored. -New bulkhead lined carpeting in V berth and Q berth. -LED cabin lights -2 burner gimbal alcohol stove -Cockpit cushions -Cushions reupholstered in 2019 -2x Fishing rod holders
