Classic Olson 30 racing boat, high pointing and easy to sail. This vessel dominated SoCal events from the 80s to mid 2000s.
I took this classic racer and gave it a new life in 2020 vs. a home at the local land fill. The cockpit was completely gutted and an all new modern cockpit was built in its place. All the trimming hardware systems were installed to maximize sail trim for both double handed sailing and crew sailing. A brand new 3’ foot sprit and no more spinnaker pole. The end result is that it is the fastest Olson 30 on the planet. It’s current ORR-EZ number is 97.8, vs. that of a standard Olson rating of 107.0. Its current successful race history reflects the care and up to date design ideas implemented in the new build out.
