Costantini (Chantier Naval Costantini)

Overview

Founded by Louis Costantini and taken over by his son Gilles and Marc Costantini in 1957. Best known as the builder of of Eric Tabarly’s Pen Duick II, winner of the 1964 Transatlantic race and designed by Gilles Costantini. Innovators in boat contruction using the newest materials of the time including plywood, aluminum and plastic composite materials saving weight and manufacturing costs. Originally located at La Trinite-Sur-Mer, France. No longer in business.
