A cruising classic! You have found a 1977 Endeavour 32 that is the comfortable cruiser that you have been looking for! Only about 600 of the hulls were made so this might be your only opportunity!

Above deck you have recently updated sails including a storm sail! The aft cockpit is a generous size providing plenty of room for guests to join the captain in the experience! The wide walkways and the non-skid deck make this Endeavour a pleasure to sail for two or a crew!

Below deck the teak companionway with three drop boards and is pretty easy to enter and exit. The Endeavour has a headroom of 6’3” so your taller sailors will be happy! Their is teak abound from the floor to a few interior walls but just enough soft white walls and ceiling to not make it feel to cramped.

There is a v-berth with filler cushions is very spacious with room to dress along with a hanging locker and some drawers! There is a double berth tucked under the port side settee and a fold-down table for dining. There is also a port side quarter berth!

The galley has a sink, stove, icebox and storage cabinets and countertop space.

The head has a shower, a marine toilet, sink, mirror and has ample space to move about.

This is just the beginning of what this Endeavour has to offer either a first time sailor or a seasoned one!

Hull Speed

The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement. It may be unable to reach this speed if the boat is underpowered or heavily loaded, though it may exceed this speed given enough power. Read more.

A more accurate formula devised by Dave Gerr in The Propeller Handbook replaces the Speed/Length ratio constant of 1.34 with a calculation based on the Displacement/Length ratio.

Ballast / Displacement Ratio

A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.

<40: less stiff, less powerful
>40: stiffer, more powerful
275-350: heavy

Displacement / Length Ratio

A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. 20-30: coastal cruiser
30-40: moderate bluewater cruising boat

The ENDEAVOUR 32 was the first boat from Endeavour and was actually the same basic hull as the earlier IRWIN 32 with modifications by Dennis Robbins, in-house designer for Endeavour at this time. Other changes to the design (by Bob Johnson?) were made in 1980.
Earlier ENDEAVOUR 32’s could be purchased with a fin keel or keel-centerboard (like the IRWIN).
By 1979, both the deep fin keel and keel-centerboard versions had been dropped in favor of a shallower draft, fixed keel model. Shown here is the later version.
