Seller's Description

Since her meticulous owners purchased her and part of her ongoing maintenance include new antifouling, hulls and topside buffed, engines serviced monthly, hatches seals and new lexan windows, new trampolines, new canvas, new cushions, new batteries, all new electronics, wind generator.

The Leopard 38 is the one of those rare “owners cat”. The 38 handles easily, one of the few straight shafts left (no sail drives!!). She has a large cockpit and a well appointed saloon and cabins. This is the three double cabin version with a master suite occupying the starboard hull and the two cabins in the port hull share heads and showers. The galley is up in the saloon. The deck layout is clear and the mainsheet traveller runs on an arch over the transom giving unimpeded access to the water via a wide aft bathing platform. The transom arch also serves to support the aft end of the bimini and to carry the dinghy. Deep louvre steps shade the forward sloping saloon windows while providing an easy and secure walkway to the saloon roof. The Leopard 38 is a competent performer under sail and power.

Since 2009, a privately owned yacht, this vessel has received significant upgrades and ongoing scheduled routine maintenance on her that truly distinguish her from many other Leopards out there. We have invested heavily in her upgrades since acquiring her. Comparison should be made between this and similar Leopards coming out of charter service, you often need to get the “island rework” out of her. This yacht is blue water ready. Just sail her away as she has been upgraded and maintained for safe and comfortable extended cruising.

This 2000 ROBERTSON and CAINE Leopard 38 (Morrelli and Melvin design) comes with an owners three cabin layout, which makes for a very comfortable cruising yacht. Plenty of storage and space for upgrades, such as a generator, if desired. This boat is free of the cumbersome air-conditioning, watermaker, generator, electric winchs and other nnecessary juice sapping items unneeded for cruising. A simple, reliable easily handled yacht!
