This is a beautifully restored Ed Monk design that clearly shows excellent original craftsmanship and detailed care during the restoration project. The hull is constructed with yellow cedar planking, and the interior finishes include black koa from Hawaii. The vessel’s provenance includes being the flagship of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVYC), and was commissioned by a Canadian sailor who was Olympic silver medalist in the sport.
The salon / galley area is equipped with a gimble 3 burner propane stove and oven, a large refurbished refrigerator with a Nova Kool remote condenser and cold plate during restoration, along with a gimbaled table that can be hung from above. There is plenty of cabinet storage, and a large stainless steel sink,
The engine room is quite spacious for a boat like this, even access below the engine is provided.
There are crew quarters in the fore area, just behind the sail storage area. There is a mid-cabin with a single berth and a berth off the salon that will accommodate two. There is also a head with a shower and additional wash sinks in the berth areas.
