Feel like getting away from it all for a while and traveling the world in style? Whatever your Nautical dreams, this Beneteau Cyclades is outfitted to take you there. She’s well-outfitted, comfortable, and easy to sail.
The Twin Helm cockpit is open and spacious, with large benches and a table fitted with a locker, glass holder, and bottle rack.
Her electronics package will keep you so well informed of your whereabouts and current conditions that you’ll feel confident about your position and situation at all times. There’s GPS, radar, navionics, and auto-pilot for convenience.
Below decks, 3 separate cabins offer great privacy, each with queen berths, and each with its own private head. The forward stateroom also includes a separate shower room.
The galley and salon are well-appointed for living aboard for extended periods of time. The salon has a comfortable U-shaped dinette, with a separate settee in the central unit, in which a second refrigerator is located.
In the galley to port, you’ll find the main fridge, with sink, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, and toaster oven, so you’ll be able to keep the crew fed at all times.
The Beneteau Cyclades 50.3 is so elegantly and efficiently rigged, you’ll find that you’ll be able to single-hand her with confidence should the need arise. The sheet clutches are neatly arranged, and all the winches in the cockpit are electric.
The in-mast furling main sail adds to the convenience of getting underway. The other two sails aboard are the jib and the Code Zero. The Cyclades also includes a good size sail locker for storage.
To make her a most competent bluewater sailboat, she has a bow thruster, an onboard 30 GPH water maker, 800 watts of solar panels with an inverter, a wind Generator, 7.5kw Genset, and 3 AC units aboard. And, all lights are LED.
If you’re ready to hit the seas in style, this boat is ready, please give us a call today.
The theoretical maximum speed that a displacement hull can move efficiently through the water is determined by it's waterline length and displacement. It may be unable to reach this speed if the boat is underpowered or heavily loaded, though it may exceed this speed given enough power. Read more.
Classic hull speed formula:
Hull Speed = 1.34 x √LWL
A more accurate formula devised by Dave Gerr in The Propeller Handbook replaces the Speed/Length ratio constant of 1.34 with a calculation based on the Displacement/Length ratio.
Max Speed/Length ratio = 8.26 ÷ Displacement/Length ratio.311
Hull Speed = Max Speed/Length ratio x √LWL
A measure of the power of the sails relative to the weight of the boat. The higher the number, the higher the performance, but the harder the boat will be to handle. This ratio is a "non-dimensional" value that facilitates comparisons between boats of different types and sizes. Read more.
SA/D = SA ÷ (D ÷ 64)2/3
A measure of the stability of a boat's hull that suggests how well a monohull will stand up to its sails. The ballast displacement ratio indicates how much of the weight of a boat is placed for maximum stability against capsizing and is an indicator of stiffness and resistance to capsize.
Ballast / Displacement * 100
A measure of the weight of the boat relative to it's length at the waterline. The higher a boat’s D/L ratio, the more easily it will carry a load and the more comfortable its motion will be. The lower a boat's ratio is, the less power it takes to drive the boat to its nominal hull speed or beyond. Read more.
D/L = (D ÷ 2240) ÷ (0.01 x LWL)³
This ratio assess how quickly and abruptly a boat’s hull reacts to waves in a significant seaway, these being the elements of a boat’s motion most likely to cause seasickness. Read more.
Comfort ratio = D ÷ (.65 x (.7 LWL + .3 LOA) x Beam1.33)
This formula attempts to indicate whether a given boat might be too wide and light to readily right itself after being overturned in extreme conditions. Read more.
CSV = Beam ÷ ³√(D / 64)
Probably based on the earlier BENETEAU 393/OCEANIS 393.
CYCLADES was a brand sold primarily to the charter trade.
