1988 Flying Dutchman
Olympic Bronze medal winning, at weight with correctors, Lindsay (one of the late Mark Lindsay’s last) Flying Dutchman.
Immaculate shape. $5K unblemished/unused deck see pictures). Perfect bottom. Prepared for this year’s World Championship in Florida. Didn’t make the trip. Located in the SF bay area.
1988 Glass Kevlar Flying Dutchman, VERY STIFF. Sailed once per year since 1992 (Olympics). Certified, measured, with Olympic and World decals.
Carries corrector weights (it’s light). No water ingress = ever. All adjusters are controlled to the helm from under the (carbon) main traveler.
$5K on deck refinish (11.20.22) = it’s perfect. Cockpit sole repainted 2022. All new take up (bungee) chords + lines, carbon mast, rigged carbon boom, carbon rudder, carbon spinnaker poles, carbon centerboard, lots of new rigging (unused), complete set of North sails (used in a couple of regattas), Harbeck trailer/dolly/spare tire, covers (some unused/NIB), lots of rigging (solid rod shrouds, spectra, Dyform, and regular wire), many many spare parts not listed for additional cost. Expected it to be a competitive boat at the worlds. Expected to be attending the 2023 World Championships in Florida. Life proved otherwise. Can be viewed in on the west coast.
