1984 Hunter 28.5

1984 Hunter 28.5, powered by a Yanmar 13HP diesel engine. This unit has the shoal draft keel, allowing it to be used in waters that many sailing vessels cannot enter.

The current owner purchased from the original owner of the boat, purchased in 2021, the current owner schedule does not allow him to enjoy the vessel as intended. The seller believes the original owner had the boat out of the water in late 2020, early 2021 for new bottom paint.

The current owner does have a diver service and maintain the bottom monthly. The diver can speak on the condition of the bottom.

This boat has been kept in above average condition and shows throughout. The engine hours are unknown.

The interior set-up and features include a V-berth forward, a salon with settees to either side, and a main salon table with fold-down leaves.

The main salon is teak and holly ply. Forward overhead opening hatch in the V-berth. There are fixed ports in the salon. The galley is located in the port aft corner. The following features are in the galley portable refrigeration unit, stainless-steel sink with hot and cold pressurized running water with storage below. There is a recessed locker. There is storage aft of the counter. The galley is equipped with an Origo Gimbal dual burner alcohol stove with a butcher block cover. The sink is equipped with a gooseneck spigot.

Moving from the galley aft is the entrance to the aft stateroom. The aft stateroom is equipped with a full bunk across. There is built-in cabinetry.

Opposite the port side entrance to the aft stateroom bunk is an enclosed head on the starboard side. The head is plumbed with a holding tank and overboard discharge. There is a fiberglass sink, hot and cold pressurized running water, and a shower attachment at the sink. The head is equipped with a bi-fold door.

The exterior features and set-up include the mast which is equipped with single spreaders. The rig is equipped with a roller furling genoa with a Sunbrella sunscreen cover. The mast is equipped with a cockpit traveler for the main sheet. The main sheet winch is a Maxwell 17 single speed.

On the deck, there are (4) cockpit winches. There are (2) #22 two-speed and (2) Barrier #22s.
