Boat is located in Imperial Beach , California.

Please note This boat is currently located in Ensenada and has just had the Westerbeke 4 cylinder diesel rebuilt.

This is one of the early cruising sailboats described by Practical Sailor as a plastic fantastic for its sturdy hull and rigging that makes it a favorite of world cruisers.

In fact, the smaller sister, the Allied Seawind 30 was the first fiberglass sailboat to circumnavigate the world.

This is the heavier longer sister ship designed to take 4 guests comfortably to distant shores.

Westerbeke 4 cyl diesel just rebuilt top and bottom.

She has Grunert refrigeration compressor, hot and cold pressure water, propane stove and oven, deep sink, chart table, new interior cushions, chef, auto pilot, instruments, new marine 2 bank charger, inverter, bow pulpit, bow sprit, double lifelines, windlass, good sails with roller furling.

Injection pump professionally rebuilt, injectors cleaned, fuel tank cleaned, new filters. 2 brass cowel vents, the interior sole is wood, lots of cabinets and curtains.

Hot water dockside and runs off engine.

Full standing headroom, 2 private cabins, enclosed head with shower and teak grate.

Custom teak swim platform with stainless boarding ladder.

Boat includes Achilles dinghy and outboard.

This boat needs very slight TLC cosmetic work (exterior), and for this price is a bargain.

Ready to go cruising and comfortable live aboard.

Can deliver to San Diego for the right buyer.

Would also consider trade for newer SUV or pickup truck or partial payment against small single engine aircraft.

Notes

Originally designed for Kaiser Gale Force Yachts which sold the molds to Allied Boat Co. After changing the cabin top and port arrangement, the first boat appeared in 1962.
Early builders under contract were Lunn Laminates of Port Washington, NY and F.L. Tripp & Sons, Westport, MA.
(Allied eventually had it’s own large plant in the Catskills, NY.)
The SEAWIND was the first, as well as one of the last, boats built by Allied Boat Company. In 1978 it was brought back into production and actually built simultaneously with the newer SEAWIND II.
Also offered with a sloop rig. (with mast stepped farther aft.)
